Ok, now I have you
inside so what is Southern Model Shoots?
We are a a new site that
will promote and encourage participation in fun photo shooting events
throughout our area. This will include not only shoots where models and
photographers can meet and network in a safe environment but also, seminars
and workshops are going to be planned to educate you on a variety of
topics. We have a great forum that you can visit and participate in.
Post your best images of your work, read and interact with like minded individuals
sharing their vision and passion for photography and modeling.
As we go along, new and
exciting features will be added to the site. We welcome your suggestions
for things you would like to see here. For now, the old model and
photographer profiles from the old Southern-models site are gone. We are
looking into the possibility of adding something soon that will address
that need but I have to do a little more work before we take that step.
So, please be patient as we go though our dusting off phase. Lets all
grow together as friends and professionals, models and photographers
alike.
Speaking of modeling, we
are putting together a new network of events to let new and experienced
models alike hook up with photographers as well as get some images in
exchange for their time. TFP is a phrase that is used often on the forum
and simply put it means to "Trade Prints For Time". In some
cases that will be Digital images on a CD instead of actual prints. Our
events will allow you to come, meet and shoot with a variety of
photographers of all skill levels from those that are just getting their
feet wet to serious professionals. This I feel is important for everyone
involved. You must start somewhere and it is easy to get burned by
spending a lot of money to get images done when you may come and get
some for free or better yet, get paid on occasion by photographers that
may like your look. So, check us out, kick the tires and run us around
the block a few times and take the plunge. Visit us often and
participate in quality events, workshops and seminars. You may just gain
valuable information about the modeling field.
Our goal is to educate
you as well as provide you will interesting locations for our events. If
you have suggestions for events like locations and themes, we want to
