Southernmodelshoots did not come about in the wink of an eye but was something that was considered for some time. The timing of the closing of another fine site, did lead to it's launch however. It was created by Paul Hamer, a photographer located in North Central Alabama. It is my hope that Southernmodelshoots will continue to evolve into something you as photographers and models will want to be a part of and actively participate in on a regular basis.

Southernmodelshoots was made to fill a specific need for models and photographers throughout the Southeast to have a place to hook up, network and learn. It is comprised of two basic parts. One, a website dedicated to creating shooting and learning opportunities and two, a forum within that website for networking. 

Our popular regional forum will continue to grow in visitors and provide networking opportunities for those just getting started up to those that are considered to be professionals. Photographers and Models located in or coming to the Southeast region to work or visit, are welcome to participate in our forum and event activities.

Future events, seminars and workshops will focus on growing as individuals and as a group. Networking is key in making it in the modeling or the photography business. The more people you know and interact with, the more opportunities you may have for gaining something either through growth of skills as a model and photographer or perhaps get some financial reward through work offers coming from your exposure and contacts.

Whatever you get out of it is up to you. We will provide the opportunities to meet, shoot, network and learn but if you do not take an active part and participate, your gain will be small. Visit with us and come to a workshop or shooting event and see for yourself the value in any organization such as Southernmodelshoots. Find a need and fill it, is what I simply did. Photographers and Models needed a place such as this in our region so whoomp, here it is. Enjoy it!
